Kansas Metropolis Police say “multiple people” have been struck after photographs have been fired within the metropolis throughout the parade for Tremendous Bowl winners the Kansas Metropolis Chiefs.
Kansas Metropolis Police posted on X: “Shots were fired west of Union Station near the garage and multiple people were struck. We took two armed people into custody for more investigation.”
They added: “Anyone nearby needs to leave the area as quickly and safely as possible to facilitate treatment of the shooting victims. Please avoid the Union Station parking garage area to allow first responders through.
“We request witnesses to the capturing to please go to the southwest nook of Pershing and Predominant.”
The parade rally was happening immediately outdoors Union Station.
Hundreds have been in Kansas Metropolis to rejoice the Chiefs’ Tremendous Bowl victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas on Sunday.
