That sentiment has led some firms to implement a “no-meeting day” coverage. Paul Graham, an influential Silicon Valley essayist who cofounded the startup accelerator Y Combinator, delved into the issue of too many conferences in a 2009 submit entitled “Maker’s Schedule, Manager’s Schedule.”
In it, he described the variations between how a maker views conferences, versus how a supervisor does.
