Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis suspended his Republican presidential marketing campaign Sunday on the eve of the New Hampshire major, ending a White Home bid that failed to fulfill expectations that he would emerge as a severe challenger to former President Donald Trump.
DeSantis introduced his resolution in a video posted on X, previously often called Twitter.
The bold big-state governor entered the 2024 presidential contest with main benefits in his quest to tackle Trump, and early major polls advised DeSantis was in a robust place to just do that. He and his allies amassed a political fortune effectively in extra of $100 million, and he boasted a big legislative report on points vital to many conservatives, like abortion and the instructing of race and gender points in colleges.

Such benefits didn’t survive the truth of presidential politics in 2024. From a high-profile announcement that was tormented by technical glitches to fixed upheavals to his workers and marketing campaign technique, DeSantis struggled to seek out his footing within the major.
