Three individuals, together with a 10-year-old boy, had been injured in an explosion, apparently attributable to leakage of LPG from a cylinder, at a scrap store in Mumbra space of Maharashtra’s Thane metropolis on Saturday morning, a civic official stated.

“Around 6 a.m., there was an explosion in the scrap shop on the ground floor of the building located in Chand Nagar area. “It was found that a commercial cooking gas cylinder was kept in the scrap shop. The BDDS has been called in,” Mr. Tadvi added.
A wall of the scrap store collapsed because of the explosion and two neighbouring outlets suffered damages. One automotive and a rickshaw parked close by additionally suffered large damages. After the incident, the constructing has developed cracks and it’s in a precarious situation, he stated.
Three residents of the constructing, recognized as Azhar Sheikh (40), Arshu Sayyed (10) and Zeenat Mulani (50), suffered minor accidents within the incident, the official stated.
