Awhad’s remarks drew immense backlash from the BJP, which slammed him for making objectionable remarks towards Lord Ram.
Condemning Awhad’s remarks, BJP MLA Ram Kadam wrote on X, “Had Balasaheb Thackeray been alive, Shiv Sena’s Saamana newspaper would have criticised the ‘Ram non-vegetarian’ comment. But today’s reality is that they (Uddhav Sena) do not care if somebody makes fun of the Hindus. They are indifferent, as cold as ice. But when the election comes, they will talk about Hindutva.”
“These comments for politics are unfortunate,” he added.
In the meantime, the BJP filed a grievance towards Awhad for his controversial remarks towards Lord Ram.
