The federal government has hiked the wages of anganwadi employees by as much as ₹1,000 monthly, Finance Minister Okay.N. Balagopal mentioned on Sunday.
The wages of anganwadi employees and helpers with greater than ten years of service will go up by ₹1,000. Those that have fewer years of service will see a hike of ₹500 of their wages.
The Minister mentioned the choice will profit 60,232 people in all. The hike will come into impact with retrospective impact from December 1, 2023.
At current, anganwadi employees are receiving ₹12,000 a month and helpers, ₹8,000. In each these classes, the wages of 44,737 folks will go up by ₹1,000. The State has 33,115 anganwadis underneath 258 tasks of the Built-in Baby Improvement Companies (ICDS), the nationwide programme which addresses the wants of kids underneath six years.
The Finance division has additionally authorised the discharge of ₹20 crore for weavers concerned within the free faculty uniform scheme. The federal government had earlier sanctioned ₹53 crore.
As many as 6,200 weavers and 1,600 allied employees are concerned within the scheme.
